Fort Walton Beach and Destin residents can look forward to a full day of community fun this week, with events ranging from a business coffee gathering and a K-9 birthday celebration to live music by the harbor.
The weekend kicks off Friday morning with the Chamber First Friday Coffee, hosted by the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce from 7 to 9 a.m. The monthly networking event invites business owners, civic leaders and residents to gather over coffee and conversation. The event is meant to strengthen local partnerships and focus on upcoming community events that help Fort Walton Beach thrive.
In the afternoon, everyone is invited to celebrate the birthday of the Fort Walton Beach Police Department’s wellness K-9, Milo. The celebration will take place on Nov. 7 from 4 to 6 p.m. at The Landing Park. The event will feature treats, demonstrations, and opportunities for people to meet Milo and his handlers. The event highlights Milo’s important role in promoting wellness and outreach in the community.
As it reaches the evening, the excitement moves to Destin, where AJ’s Seafood & Oyster Bar will host live music by Austin Jenning from 5 to 9 p.m. at their outdoor Tiki Village stage. Families can enjoy a waterfront view, fresh seafood and good tunes as the perfect way to end the day.
From early morning coffee to canine celebration and a night on the harbor, Fort Walton Beach and Destin offer residents a full day to celebrate connection, community and coastal living.
