This week, the Emerald Coast offers something for everyone, from spooky celebrations to live music and long-lasting traditions. The main events include the Peek-A-Boo Halloween Bash, A Tribute to Michael Jackson show and the 77th annual Destin Fishing Rodeo.
The Peek-A-Boo Halloween Bash takes place Friday, Oct. 31 at the Enclave Social Club in Fort Walton Beach, starting at 9 p.m. The festivities will go late into the night, with the main event of the night being a $500 prize for the best costume, followed by a $250 reward for the scariest costume.
Saturday, Nov. 1, the Tribute to Michael Jackson show will be held at the Destin Community Center at 8 p.m. The show will feature a live performance by Danny Ware, a Michael Jackson impersonator. He will bring the King of Pop’s greatest hits, along with entertaining choreography, to the local stage.
Meanwhile, the Destin Fishing Rodeo is still underway, ending Oct. 31, at the Destin Harbor. Daily weigh-ins for the contest run from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the docks behind AJ’s Seafood & Oyster House on the Destin Boardwalk.
Whether you’re dressing up for a costume party or catching fish at the docks, Fort Walton Beach and Destin have a lively week of entertainment coming up.
