Jeffrey Bissainthe Jr. is a rising senior at the University of West Florida, majoring in Information Technology. Hailing from Tallahassee, Florida, he is quickly becoming known on campus as a committed leader and mentor. He is the true definition of someone who leads by example, consistently pushing himself to make a lasting, positive impression throughout the UWF community.
Currently, Jeff serves as President of both the Campus Activity Board and the Beta Beta Phi Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated. In these roles, his main goal is to foster connections among students through vibrant events, dedicated community involvement, and promoting a collective mindset of school spirit. Whether he is coordinating a signature event or mentoring fellow students, Jeff’s passion for organizational leadership and outreach always shines through.
Jeff initially came to UWF with the primary objective of joining the basketball team as a walk-on. However, over time, he realized his purpose lay in developing his skills through different avenues, specifically in student engagement and Greek life. This shift allowed him to gain a deep understanding of the importance of time management, endurance, and collaborative work.
“Coming to UWF pushed me into growing outside my comfort zone, teaching me how to operate as a businessman and a campus leader,” Jeff explained.
He has certainly left his mark as a UWF Argonaut, from planning memorable events to encouraging student unity. His journey demonstrates the power of embracing a non-traditional path to success, taking risks, and persevering to the end.
