A.I. Made Trump Get Arrested

Elijah Shinnick, Staff Writer

Donald Trump needs no introduction. Former president and current billionaire; it’s impossible to go a day without his name popping up in your news feed. These past few weeks have been a bit different, however, and the events that unfolded could be the strangest turn of events Trump has found himself in yet.

In the midst of an ongoing investigation into the role he played in making hush-money payments to Stormy Daniels, Trump posted a message on his site Truth Social that ended with the following: “THE FAR & AWAY LEADING REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE AND FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, WILL BE ARRESTED ON TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. PROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION BACK!”

His all-caps declaration confused more than it inspired. How did he know he was going to be arrested, let alone the date of his so-called impending arrest? Mere hours later, a Trump spokesperson stated that Trump had no direct knowledge of his arrest, but the post should be viewed as him “highlighting his innocence and the weaponization of our injustice system.”

Needless to say, people started talking. Excitement spread on sites like Twitter with the idea of Trump getting arrested as well as the fear of potential protests. With that, everyone waited anxiously, wondering how the next few days would play out.

When the fabled day hit, many people, myself included, hit the trending bar on Twitter and saw that #TRUMPGOTARRESTED was trending. Upon clicking, people were met with these photos.

Donald Trump got arrested. He fled from cops but was ultimately caught and held down as police surrounded him, and it was all caught on camera. Many tweets went viral with these photos, leading most to believe that he really did get arrested.

However, that was not the case, as these images were actually made with A.I. As you might have read lately, A.I. like the program ChatGPT has been taking the world by storm. This new technology has been turning heads, and this is the latest instance of that.

A.I. was able to take pictures of Trump and police officers and create these nearly human-like photos. The closer you look, the more you can tell that they’re fake, but from first glance, they could fool anyone.

It’s almost scary how realistic they look and even scarier that A.I. could be used like this. What else could people come up with with this technology? I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Ultimately, Trump was not arrested Tuesday, and who knows where else his court case could take him, but, if anything, we got some really amusing photos out of the whole ordeal.
