With Halloween approaching this Sunday, UWF wants its students to get ready “for a night full of not just tricks, but treats and maybe a pumpkin or two.”

The event known as Fright Night will take place on Oct. 28 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., and will include a student-made haunted house and fall festival booths, according to CAB President Jessica Ethridge.

“This year CAB has paired with twelve other student organizations to create a Haunted House with nine different themed rooms,” Ethridge said in an email, “as well as create a Fall Festival area including booths with free food, prizes, and games.”

The University Commons will be turned into a haunted house by student organizations, with each decorating a specific room. The newly added Fall Festival portion of the event will also include a chance to win yummy goodies such as Little Debbie and Oreo boxes during their cake walk or while walking through the various booths.

Students can also dress up in their favorite costume for a chance to win the Halloween costume contest.

Ethridge said CAB will provide pizza and drinks during the event, along with any snacks or candy provided by the various organizations.

CAB is expecting 250 to 300 students to attend, and “are so excited to bring some Halloween spirit to campus.”

“We hope to see [students] there in [their] best costume,” Ethridge said.
