UPDATE: Authorities say that Smith has been found as of Sept. 29.

Following the disappearance of UWF student Brandon Neal Smith, the university has issued a missing person alert.

According to a release issued by campus police, Smith was last heard from on Sept. 25. 

Smith’s roommate says he last saw him Saturday at around 10 a.m. jogging along a sidewalk near Village West apartments. 

Smith is a 24-year-old white male with short brown hair and scars on both forearms. He is 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs around 150 pounds.

Officials say the case is still relatively fresh, and will require further investigation before any new information can be released.
