Another week, another statement from Argonaut Nation. From dominant volleyball performances to tournament clinches on the pitch, national rankings in the pool, to postseason prep on the trails.
Football

The Argos proved once again why they’re a powerhouse, defeating West Alabama in a top-10 matchup thriller to stay undefeated on the season.
It was another statement performance from UWF, with Marcus Stokes and Michael Shine both earning GSC Weekly Honors for the second consecutive week. The win keeps the Argos firmly in the national conversation as a postseason contender.
Women’s Soccer
The No. 6 ranked Argos are officially headed back to the postseason.
UWF secured its spot in the GSC Championship Tournament with a gritty 1–0 win over Union. Earlier in the week, they turned heads with a dominant 6–1 victory over Christian Brothers, showing just how dangerous their attack can be.
Men’s Soccer

UWF Men’s Soccer battled to a 2–2 draw against Christian Brothers in a tightly contested GSC matchup, then bounced back with a 1–0 win over Union, keeping their momentum steady in the conference race.
Cross Country
With the regular season in the books, UWF Cross Country has its eyes set on one thing: the GSC Championships.
The teams have been training and fine-tuning all season long, and now it’s time to put it all together in Nashville on October 25.
Volleyball

There’s no slowing down the No. 16 UWF Volleyball team.
Kumara Flanagain continues to shine, earning GSC Offensive Player of the Week honors for the second consecutive week. The Argos also delivered in a big way during their annual Pack It Pink Match, knocking off Trevecca Nazarene in front of a loud and spirited home crowd.
They followed it up with a 3–1 win over Lee, adding another conference victory to their impressive record.
Women’s Swimming & Diving
The Argos made a splash in the national conversation, coming in at No. 7 in the latest CSCAA Poll. It’s a strong statement early in the season and proof this group is ready to compete with the best.

The focus now shifts to preparing for the spring championship push.
