The UWF Wellness Hub had its grand opening on September 29th, where students were lined up outside the door to celebrate and enjoy snacks, games, crafts, raffles, and more! Students learned about how Peer Educators can help them improve their wellness and discovered all that the Wellness Hub has to offer.
The Wellness Hub is a place where students can come to unwind, relax, and escape from the stress that college can sometimes come with being a college student.
Kristil Tatum, the Assistant Director of Wellness, said, “One of our big initiatives is promoting the eight dimensions of well-being, which are financial, environmental, social, intellectual, spiritual, physical, emotional, and occupational.”
“A goal of ours is that every student will interact with each of the dimensions of well-being before they graduate,” said Tatum, “our goal is to make sure that when students come here, they have a place to rest, relax, and recharge, but also rediscover their path to well-being.”

Overall, the launch party was considered a huge success by the Wellness Center Team; students were extremely interactive and interested in what they had to offer.
Gabriel Josephs, the social media manager of peer education and a peer educator, said, “I was happy that people were enjoying the space and really using the space in the way we had imagined it.”
