UWF Panhellenic held its annual recruitment weekend and bid day this past weekend. The four Panhellenic sororities on campus spoke to over 100 women interested in joining Greek life.
More than 140 women registered for Panhellenic recruitment weekend, and 98 of those women were extended and accepted an invitation (bid) to join one of the four sororities on campus.
The four Panhellenic sororities on campus – Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Delta Pi, Alpha Gamma Delta, and Kappa Delta – each had an incredibly successful recruitment weekend.
We asked Kendal Weston, the Alpha Delta Pi Vice President of Recruitment, how recruitment was successful for their chapter specifically.

“Recruitment was special for Alpha Delta Pi because it was a chance for us to welcome girls into our chapter that shared the same values of sisterhood, loyalty, service, and knowledge,” said Weston. “We welcomed 26 perfect girls and could not be happier to have them here! We can’t wait to see the difference they make in not only our chapter, but on campus!”

In addition, the 14 Rho Gammas and Panhellenic Executive Board also ran home this weekend. To provide unbiased help towards the PNMs (potential new members), Panhellenic sorority women disaffiliate from their respective sorority for three months.
Come bid day, those disaffiliated women re-affiliate and “run back home” to their sororities. They have a lot of fun with this and even create little dance routines together before revealing what sorority they belong to.
Now that the new members have joined their sororities, they will work to make an impact on campus and raise money and awareness for their sororities philanthropy. Alpha Chi Omega will continue to raise money for Domestic Violence Awareness, Alpha Delta Pi for Ronald McDonald House, Alpha Gamma Delta for fighting hunger, and Kappa Delta for Girl Scouts and Prevent Child Abuse America.
Be on the lookout this upcoming year for fun events and fundraising opportunites from each of the Panhellenic Sororities.
