Move In – Family Weekend, Thursday, August 21st
As the school year comes back, UWF had its annual Family Welcome Move-in day on August 21st, from 9-11 a.m. It is the first of many events that happens during Argo Arrival; it consists of two tasks essentially. While the students and their families are exhausted from moving into their new dorms, the staff comes around in golf carts filled with goodies and exclusive merchandise for parents. A fun way to grab some treats, meet the staff team, and kick off the semester with great vibes.
Club U-Dub, Friday, August 22nd
Interviewed Jeffrey Bissainthe, CAB Director. “Being one of the event leads for Club U Dub was truly an amazing experience. Watching the ideas we envisioned come to life and seeing every student fully immersed in the atmosphere we created was such a rewarding feeling. It wasn’t just about everyone having fun; it was about showcasing what being an Argo is all about. On top of that, we made history with this event. This was the biggest Club U Dub ever, with over 1,500 students, and I’m proud to say I got to be a part of it alongside Jacques Clark.”
Beach Bash Saturday, August 23rd
Usually, on Sunday, this year’s beach bash was on a Saturday, which surprisingly didn’t have much of a crowd compared to the previous years. Around 660 Argos checked in to enjoy free food, music, games in the sand, and of course, the beautiful water. On the small side of beach bash, this still gave students a chance to connect, relax before classes, and make memories together.
Argopalooza Wednesday, August 27th

Argopalooza 2025 brought the Cannon Greens to life with students and organizations all over. Totaling to 100+ student organizations signing up to have a table while students roamed around, figuring out how to get involved on campus more, while enjoying free snacks and a hyped atmosphere. A perfect way to kick off student involvement at UWF.
Home in the Hub Thursday, August 28th
Not so fast, with our last event of Argo Arrival, you think we forgot about the commuter students. Definitely not, with Home in the Hub, students get to connect with other students who stay off campus, so they won’t feel alone. While free food was the main talk of the event, these commuter students also got the chance to hear information about resources available to them as well.
