Pick a Card, Any Card!
The University of West Florida’s Campus Activity Board (CAB) hosted a show on September 12 in Commons Hall featuring hypnotist David Hall. Students were advised to choose their cards wisely, as the selection would determine the trance they experienced.
More than 100 attendees were captivated as Hall mesmerized audience members and read their thoughts. The event also offered participants the chance to vote on activities while enjoying walking tacos.
Many students expressed their excitement about the event. Event director Angelina Armendarez said, “I loved seeing everyone so engaged in the show and willing to participate. The crowd truly made the whole experience worthwhile. Thank you to everyone who came out and made the event so much fun!”
One student who participated shared, “As one of the ‘performers,’ it was quite the thrill. I found myself scream-laughing on the ground, throwing my chair off balance after winning $1 million, covering my nose at a rancid-smelling person, and performing an utterly horrible impression of Beyoncé (I didn’t even sing!). I think the event couldn’t have been more… humiliating? Hilarious? Unpredictable? I’m not sure. But it was great. 10/10 for the event, nice job, CAB!”
