My name is Jamel Jackson. I was born and raised in Cocoa, FL. I’m a Communication major with a social work concentration. I play football at the University of West Florida and my position is cornerback. I love the competition and competitiveness of the game. Outside of sports, I like to surf the web along with listening to music to soothe my mind to create new habits for a better lifestyle. I’m a sneaker head so my closest is my most prized possession. Staff Writer

tw31@students.uwf.edu

Tyler Wood graduated from Walton High School in DeFuniak Springs in 2015, and enrolled at UWF that fall as a chemistry major. Upon deciding that it wasn’t for him, Tyler changed his major to journalism and has never regretted it. He enjoys writing, golfing, gaming, spending time with his girlfriend of five years, Nicole, and watching his favorite teams have disappointing seasons. An avid Braves, Falcons, Rockets, and Gators fan, he has learned to expect mediocrity from his beloved teams. Upon graduating, he aspires to write sports for anyone who thinks he’s decent enough to publish readable content.

I’m Jessica but most people call me Jess. I am a single mom, a professional vocalist, a freelance writer for POPSUGAR, and a part-time student at UWF. I also write a personal blog called The Singing Widow. My blog has lead me to begin the process of starting my own foundation/charity that will benefit widows and/or widowers. It will be called The Singing Widow Foundation. I am currently writing my first book and hope to have it finished within the year. Other things I love are: Oregon Pinot Noir, Game of Thrones, running and dancing.
