Take a stroll with your dog through downtown Pensacola this Saturday, May 6, and help support Pensacola Humane Society’s Low Cost Spay and Neuter Clinic. This year is the third annual Paws on Palafox 3K Dog Walk.

The clinic has performed more than 10,000 procedures since opening only a year and a half ago. The event is the primary fundraiser for the clinic.

The walk starts at 9 a.m. near Pensacola Bay in Plaza De Luna Park at the south end of Palafox Street and makes its way through the historic and business districts and finishes back at the park.

Paws on Palafox is an annual 3K dog walk fundraiser for Pensacola Humane Society’s Low Cost Spay and Neuter Clinic.

There are two ways to participate: You can walk as an individual, or you can join a team to raise funds for the Humane Society. When you join a team, you may make a Facebook page for your team to raise money for the clinic, or solo walkers can also raise money by raising awareness on their personal Facebook pages.

Registration for the event is $25 and includes a free T-shirt and bandana. The first 200 people to register will receive a free pair of sunglasses provided by Pure Pilates.

Along the route will be treat and water stations for people and pups. Entertainment will be set up throughout the walk, and the John Hart Band will play before and immediately after the walk. There will also be a selfie station sponsored by Pen Air complete with dog costumes.
