UWF falls to UNA 6-2 for first loss at the Spoon in 2 years

The University of West Florida baseball team lost its final game of the series on Sunday to the University of North Alabama 6-2 at Jim Spooner Field, giving the Argos their first home series loss in two years.

SGA affirms Black Lives Matter resolution

The University of West Florida Student Government Association recently passed a resolution in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. This resolution, which was announced on Feb. 3 at the beginning of Black History Month, approved a banner to be displayed in the Commons that reads “UWF Student Government Association Affirms Black Lives Matter.”

A Day Without Women calls attention to equality

Many women have chosen to take the day off from work and school today in support of A Day Without Women. This national movement for women’s equality is meant to highlight how vital women are to our economic and social systems. Women who are not able to take off from school or work on this day — as well as men who support the movement — will be wearing red to show their solidarity of the nationwide campaign.
